Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Coming to XBLA This Week

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have revealed that the latest adventure starring the ubiquitous tomb raider Lara Croft will be releasing this week. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is part of Microsoft’s annual Summer of Arcade program, and will be available for download this Wednesday on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

The game will also offer a bevy of downloadable content throughout the year, including three gameplay packs focusing on combat, exploration and puzzles, as well as two character packs allowing you to hop into the globe-trotting boots of other, “non-Lara” characters. A free update is also on deck that will allow for online coop and full leaderboards shortly after launch.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Additionally, the game is scheduled to release on the PlayStation 3 via Playstation Network and PC via Steam on September 28, for $14.99. The game is rated T for Teen.
