Konami Turning Hudson into Social Game Dev as Part of Acquisition

Konami's recent takeover of Hudson has left countless gamers confused as to the future of the company behind the famed Bomberman franchise. Konami's intentions are now clear, with the publisher planning to convert Hudson into a social gaming division. Starting April 1, Konami will have complete control over Hudson and its properties.

At the end of March, the United States branch of Hudson Entertainment will be closed down. Additionally, Konami has begun cutting staff members, who must volunteer to be released from the company. Those who do take part in this voluntary effort will receive severance, aid in future job placement, and other such perks (if you can really call them that given the situation). At this moment, Konami is looking for 40 individuals to step down from their positions.
