Konami Hosts 1st Annual Gamers Day

SETS THE TONE FOR 2001 WITH PREVIEW OF HOT Q1/Q2 ACTION TITLES AT 1ST ANNUAL

Reveals Zone of the Enders, Ring of Red, Shadow of Destiny, Monster Force,
Dance Dance Revolution, and The Mummy

today held its "1st Annual Gamers Day" to offer the enthusiast press
corps a preview of the companys stellar action line-up for 2001. The event
featured a diverse roster of titles from all genres including action,
adventure, horror, arcade and music. Specifically, the titles shown were: Zone
of the Enders, a dynamic and graceful mech battle game from famed producer
Hideo Kojima; Ring of Red, an innovative tactical strategy game set in
post-WWII Japan; Shadow of Destiny, a unique adventure game where players
travel back in time to prevent their own murder; Monster Force, an
action/adventure game featuring kid-versions of Universal Studios famous
classic monsters; Dance Dance Revolution, the hit arcade dancing game brought
for the first time to US homes; and the introduction of The Mummy on Sega
Dreamcast.

 

Konami
also revealed a glimpse at the Q3/Q4 line-up by unveiling new information
about their high-profile Q3/Q4 titles and with a sneak peak at Silent Hill 2 a
macabre adventure set to raise the benchmark of fear within the horror genre.

Dance Revolution

The
first real dance simulation game that combines fun, excitement, dance
competition, choreography and a high-energy workout. The game showcases a wide
variety of high-energy music including hip-hop, techno, drum OEn bass, and
pop. A special dance pad peripheral will also be offered to recreate the

of Destiny

Shadow
of Destiny is an inventive game that offers players the ability to change

chills and thrills that built Universal Studios classic horror franchise are
reproduced in Monster Force, where kid versions of Frankenstein, Dracula, and
