Konami already hiring for new Metal Gear Solid development team

They waste no time.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Metal Gear creator, Hideo Kojima, had officially parted ways with Konami and was opening his own studio in partnership with Sony. While Kojima created the Metal Gear series, the game did not leave Konami with him.

In fact, prior to Kojima's departure and while Konami was still aggressively humiliating Kojima, Konami was solidifying plans for future Metal Gear Solid games.  “Metal Gear Solid is a key Konami franchise,” said Konami marketing executive Jon Edwards. “The company has already committed to future iterations, which we look forward to.”

At the time, there was still hope that Kojima would be a part of the game's development, but with his recent partnership with Sony and official removal from Konami – this probably won't be happening.

Konami, on the other hand, has already begun to get the ball moving and are 'recuiting new Metal Gear development staff.'

There are no hints at who will be participating in the development of the new game (whether former Metal Gear developers will be contributing) or on what the game is about. The only thing the ad for a new staff reveals is what Konami wants out of the proffesionals applying.

  • Experience in high-end game development, planning, etc.
  • Boundless imagination, and the capacity for exciting new ideas
  • A strong passion toward game creation
  • The communication skills to effectively communicate your ideas

I'm sure we are all excited for this game…
