Kojima teases first images of Metal Gear Solid 3DS System

Say what you want about Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, but there's no denying that the man is fashionable. Compared to the sweaty unkempt stable of American developers, Kojima exhibits a constant appreciation for style, his thin-rimmed glasses and neatly pressed shirts worthy of emulation. It's was no surprise then when he tweeted the first ever image of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Nintendo 3DS system, showing the unit not adorned in the traditional gaudy colors, but instead sleek and stylish snakeskin.

Given Nintendo's recent run-in with PETA, we doubt they'd sanction a device covered in the hide of a dead animal, so its safe to assume the systems won't come outfitted in actual snakeskin. A more apt question might be whether this limited-edition unit will see a release in North America? American Metal Gear system bundles have been seen for both the Playstation 3 and Sony PSP, so it's not completely unlikely. Though Nintendo is not well known for offering limited-edition consoles not featuring their own properties (Zelda, Pokemon) so we'll have to wait and see.
