Kojima on Metal Gear Solid 5

New details have surfaced on Hideo Kojima's involvement on Metal Gear Solid 5, as well as the very existence of that title. In typical Kojima fashion, the brilliant mind has decided to throw us all a curveball. Technically, the game isn't really confirmed, despite OPM's allusion to it.

According to a recent update from the publication, Kojima stated that the game is most likely going to eventually be a thing, rather than actually being a thing as we speak. Of course, he was cryptic as heck, which is just plain awesome. "I think we'll probably have to make it at some point, but what that will be, we have no idea," teased Kojima.

Kojima went on to explain that he would likely have minimal involvement in the game. Again, this could all be some Kojima brand ribbing. "As far as my involvement in the project is concerned, [it] probably won't be as much as it was with MGS1–maybe I can do one stage! For MGS1 I made the maps myself, laid out the enemy routes myself, did everything hands-on–that level I can't do again."

Metal Gear Solid 5 is most likely going to be announced at some point. For now, though, all we have are Kojima's very mysterious words to rely on. Personally, I'm a big fan of surprises, so I'm really glad we're not getting a straight answer.
