Kirby fans pop gum bubble blowing record at PAX Prime

They did it, everyone! They. Did. It! The Guinness World Record for most simultaneous chewing gum bubbles blown is no longer 304 participants. Nope, the new record is now 536 bubbles blown. Impressive!

It all started when Nintendo set the goal to for Kirby fans to blow bubbles at PAX Prime. The Kirby-loving individuals at the games show were quick to volunteer and break the heck out of the previous record.

I'm saddened that I couldn't be a part of the experience, but I'm proud of my fellow Kirby loyalists. It just goes to show that when you take the 20th anniversary of an awesome video game hero and set a goal around it, the faithful fans will be sure to deliver.

Kirby's Dream Collection will continue the celebration of the rotund protagonist when it launches for the Wii on September 16.
