Kinect to Replace TV Remotes?

872794

Microsoft continues to create more uses for their ever adaptable Kinect.  Remotes?  We don’t need no stinking remotes!  Tomorrow, December 6th, Xbox 360 is releasing a FREE dashboard update which will allow you to integrate the Kinect voice and hand gesture system to channel surfing.

The idea behind this is that Microsoft wants to create a single entertainment system which brings gaming, TV, music, and social media using advanced voice and motion control.  This new software will create the largest interactive TV service in the world; with close to 40 leading TV and entertainment providers through Xbox LIVE.

This update will affect 35 countries to a network of 35 million Xbox LIVE members.  35 million will have access to live TV, on-demand movies, video games, and music to listen too.  Did you lose your remote?  Forget-about-it.
