Killer Croc is coming to season 3 of ‘Gotham’

Don't expect the Suicide Squad anytime soon, but one member might be making his debut.

Season three of FOX's Batman prequel series, 'Gotham', is set to feature the first appearance of Killer Croc.

Much to the joy of fans everywhere, FOX's Gotham has officially been picked up for a third season. With the show so far managing to do a pretty good job of planting seeds from which to build the well-known lore of the Dark Knight, they plan to include a character featured in the recent DC Extended Universe film, 'Suicide Squad', Waylon Jones aka Killer Croc.

While there was a somewhat "discount" version of the Suicide Squad already featured in one storyarch of The CW's Arrow, it seems that this early DC universe won't be getting there own incarnation anytime soon. Nevertheless, 'Gotham' Executive Producer, John Stephens, said the show will do more to establish lore than it will draw from the recent release:

“A lot of those characters, because they’re in 'Suicide Squad', we’re not going to be seeing them this season. We will be seeing proto-versions of some of those characters; we’ll see a proto-Killer Croc version."

Judging by the course the show has already taken with some of the other Bat-centric characters already introduced, it's likely we'll just see Waylon Jones in his pre-mutated state. With already having established Professor Hugo Strange as a main character and his penchant for human experimentation, its more than likely that this is the route they will take to begin his origin.
