It’s Official: Limbo Headed to PSN, Steam

Yesterday we reported that the Korean Rating Board had Limbo slated for release in that part of the world. I’m certain PlayStation 3 gamers everywhere were hoping to hear that the downloadable title would come to North America, as well. Fellow gamers and indie fans, you’re in luck.

Playdead CEO Dino Patti has confirmed that PlayStation 3 and Steam ports of Limbo are currently in the works. I was fine with a port on the PlayStation Network, but if the developers are going all out and delivering the goods on Steam, I’m all for it! Confirmation of this report came when Patti told Joystiq, “Limbo is in production for Steam and PSN, and is coming very soon.”

So there it is, people. Limbo on both PlayStation Network and Steam has been confirmed. The best part is that it’s been confirmed as “coming very soon.” If this all plays out well, we could get the two Limbo ports before the end of the year.

So who’s excited about this game getting some representation on the PlayStation 3 and PC? Will you be downloading the game when it launches? Let us know in the comments section below!
