Hybrid shoots its way to XBLA on August 8

While 5th Cell may be known for making charming experimental games such as Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life, the studio is looking to try out some new ventures with Hybrid, its upcoming cover-based third-person shooter.

The cool thing about Hybrid is that it's not like every other shooter. Gameplay is more fast-paced, and instead of running around large areas, players need to guide their character by jumping and hovering around the maps. It's an interesting gameplay style that has a lot of potential.

Scheduled as part of Summer of Arcade, Hybrid will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade on August 8. The game will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points (or 15 human dollars).
