Hordes of Orcs Major Update, More Orcs to Stop!

MrJoy and Freeverse today announced the release of a major update for their innovative tower defense game, Hordes of Orcs. Featuring smooth 3D graphics and engrossing strategic gameplay, Hordes of Orcs offers an exciting and original experience for the Mac and Windows platform. A free demo of the game is available for download from the Freeverse website.

This update is for both Windows and Mac versions. Hordes of Orcs customers can update automatically the next time they launch the game.

What's New in version 1.1.4:

  • Two new maps for extra game options: Orc Olympics (The portals are gone, with a finish line in its place, and a nasty surprise to those who use bait!), and Burninator (An out-of-control fire tower stands in the middle of it all).

  • Major performance improvements, especially on lower-end machines.

  • A Newsfeed has been integrated into the game, letting you know about the latest changes to the in-game Balance Engine.

  • More in-game tips that suggest better ways to play.

Hordes of Orcs is a “Tower Defense” game in which you must build walls and lethal towers to defend your village from the Orcs emerging from, what the village elders call, “The Glowing Portal of Really Bad Things That We Should Have Bricked-Up a Long Time Ago.” Sadly, the Portal is un-bricked and the Orcs are very, very hungry. If 20 Orcs make it to your village, you’re toast. Featuring full 3D graphics and intriguing gameplay, you'll be hooked for hours!

Hordes of Orcs is available for $24.95 from the Freeverse online store.
