Homefront Multiplayer Requires THQ Pass Code

It seems THQ is hopping on the anti-GameStop bandwagon, as they've announced Homefront will require THQ Pass to unlock the multiplayer's full potential. EA has adopted this strategy recently with many of its games, such as Hot Pursuit, Mass Effect 2 and Medal of Honor, and Gears of War 2 arguably started it all with the Flashback Map Pack.

Without the THQ Pass, which comes free with every new retail copy of Homefront, players will not be able to level up in the multiplayer or access certain features. The Pass can also be purchased as DLC for $10.

THQ previously tried this with last year's UFC Undisputed, and obviously found it be to their benefit. Expect it to be the standard for all major games within the next few years.
