Here's why The Crew is not coming to Wii U, PS3

Game developers don't always explain their reasons behind bringing games to certain consoles. In fact, games devs don't really have to disclose much of anything if they don't want to, but When Ubisoft decided to speak with IGN they dished out some details on why The Crew won't be coming to the PlayStation 3 or Wii U.

A Ubisoft spokesperson explained their reasoning as such: “It’s actually because The Crew is originally built for the new generation of consoles...So when the decision was made to port it to the previous generation of consoles, it was decided to focus solely on the platform closest to the new-gen’s technical infrastructure, which is the Xbox 360.”

The Xbox 360's architecture is what brings it closest to this current new generation of consoles - it would be the cheapest console to port it to. The PS3 and Wii U port would require a bit more work (more work means more money), so, it's not even a thought at this point.

It is good to note that the Xbox 360 port will not be losing any of the features its PS4, Xbox One and PC siblings have.

The Crew will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360 on November 11
