Here’s a look at Rory McIlroy PGA Tour gameplay

EA impresses with extended gameplay footage

EA Sports has released a brand new video showing many gamers and golfing fans just what to expect from the upcoming Rory McIlroy PGA Tour title.

The video features brand new gameplay footage, but more specifically the new Quick Rounds feature. This allows players to play the most important holes of a four-round tournament, completing it in the same amount of time as a single round. This feature will not lessen your experience either, which is pretty cool.

Another feature that EA have been working on is loading screens. Something that will not be included in the new title will be loading screens in between holes.

You may notice that The Arnold Palmer Invitational takes a pivotal role in the video above, giving players a taste of the improvements that EA Sports have since previous golf title. There are eight real-life golf courses included in the new game, however that is half the amount of the previous title:

  • Chambers Bay (University Place, Washington)
  • Royal Troon (Troon, Scotland, U.K.)
  • St Andrews (St Andrews, Scotland, U.K.)
  • TPC Boston (Boston, Massachusetts)
  • TPC Sawgrass (Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida)
  • Whistling Straits (Kohler, Wisconsin)
  • Wolf Creek (Mesquite, Nevada)
  • Arnold Palmer (Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando)

Those that have pre-ordered the game will be entitled to a ninth real-life course, TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.

The highly anticipated Rory McIlroy PGA Tour game is set for release on July 4th, but those with EA Access memberships will be able to play the game five days before it's official launch.
