Hackers Attack Epic Games

Seriously, this is going too far. Do hackers have anything better to do than tamper with the things video game fans love most? The PlayStation Network and Codemasters are now joined by Epic Games, the most recent victims of hacker attacks.

Numerous sites within the Epic Games spectrum have been hacked, and the developer has cautioned gamers. According to Epic, several email addresses and passwords were compromised. Not only is this a nuisance, but it's a damn shame that losers with nothing better to do can annoy gamers by doing petty things like this.

Luckily, the Epic sites and forums don't contain any credit card info, so users don't have to worry about serious theft. But as I previously mentioned, it's just freaking annoying. And this is coming from someone who isn't even registered on any of Epic's sites.

I sincerely hope this hacker nonsense is just a fad that goes away. It seems like all of this dates back to GeoHot, who has caused an uproar since his time on the gaming scene. I look forward to all of this nonsense being put behind us soon. Of course, games could just switch back to cartridges with no online features.
