GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City hit on Xbox One via backward compatibility

Because GTA V hasn't got story DLC.

Earlier today eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City had been rated for the Xbox One by the ESRB. It was hypothesized that the rating was pointing towards a backward compatibility announcement, but without confirmation from Microsoft, there was no way to know.

Luckily, Microsoft has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City is available on the Xbox One via the backward compatibility, along with Grand Theft Auto IV!

That's right, both Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City are now all playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. That doesn't just mean the base version of GTA IV either, all versions of the game – including GTA IV: The Complete Edition – are compatible with the Xbox One.

If you don't own the games already, you can grab them on the Xbox Store.
