Gran Turismo 5 Update Will Allow In-Race Saves
Gran Turismo 5 designer Kazunori Yamauchi announced via Twitter that Polyphony Digital is currently working on an update that will incorporate mid-race saves to those long endurance tests in the game. GTPlanet.com reported more than 8,500 votes in favor of in-race saves for the lengthy endurance races, showing how much fans of the game desired the function. Yamauchi stated that despite his love of Gran Turismo 5, he doesn't have the time to sit in front of the TV playing for "four, nine, or even 24 hours."
Though the translated tweet didn't give a specific date, Yamauchi confirmed that the in-game save feature for endurance races in Gran Turismo 5 is "currently under development." It's still unknown if the game's next update will include the new feature, but Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital should be releasing details soon. Stay tuned for more from the developer.
