GlobalFun to Develop Tom & Jerry Mobile Game

Turner Broadcasting and GlobalFun has today announced that GlobalFun will develop another game based on the Turner properties.

The game in question is based on the Tom & Jerry property and features Tom & Jerry in a frantic maze action game targeted towards the casual gaming audience. The final name of the mobile game is yet to be announced.

Tom and Jerry the family favorite first hit screens in 1940 and is one of the most recognized cartoon properties in the world. This new mobile game is aimed at the cat and mouse duos’ fans young and old.

The aim of the game is to guide Jerry (the mouse) through 12 challenging and fun levels located in the house, garden and basement, while at the same time avoiding traps and the ever present cat Tom. The levels contain power-ups, traps, hidden rooms and passages that in combination with a well balanced game design and outstanding graphics provide for a fun and entertaining game.

“We are all very excited about this recent development deal and the way our relation with Turner is progressing, the Tom & Jerry mobile game will be a fabulous game that a large number of people will have the opportunity to enjoy” commented Marcus Johansson, CEO GlobalFun.

Casey Harwood, Senior Vice President, Interactive, Wireless and Communication said “All the games commissioned with GlobalFun to date have been very popular with Cartoon Network viewers. Tom and Jerry has been a firm favorite with our audience so creating the game will increase our offerings for children.”
