The new Gears of War 4 “Gearsmas” event is underway.
Starting today, players can get their hands on dozens of new pieces of content, a special “snowball fight” mode, and more. There are 28 pieces of gear, most of which pokes fun at ugly Christmas sweaters. Check out some of the content below.

Developers The Coalition also announced that players will be able to claim specially timed rewards through their new daily rewards system. Check out the dates and items below.

The new mode “snowball fight” features a new holiday themed weapon to Gears 4 called the Snowshot, which is a boomshot that fires large, deadly snowballs at your opponents. The twist though is each player only gets two snowballs to begin the match, and you’ll have to collect more throughout the game.
As for the playlist, Crossplay Versus is back in the Special Event playlist, allowing Xbox One and Windows 10 players to come together in social.
More content is expected to release this month, as The Coalition also teased the new UIR Gear Pack, which will be revealed next week.
Gearsmas runs through January 4, 2017. The pack costs 400 credits, or 99 cents, and comes with a bounty and two items from the collection.
