GDC attendance up 17 percent over last year

After a week of panels, interviews, and fresh demos, folks are now recovering from the GDC madness. This year's show unveiled a raft of juicy information regarding gadgets, games, and nerdiness in general. GDC 2012 also recorded its best attendance in show history, which has us even more excited for GDC 2013.

According to Destructoid, this year's attendance weighed in at 22,500 - up 17 percent from last year. The three day show at San Francisco's Moscone convention center also brought in over 300 exhibitors, which also is a convention high.

GDC, once known as a developer's paradise, is not becoming a full fledged convention, worthy of your attention. This year's show satisfied in every way and we're extremely excited for next year's, which will be taking place March 25-29, 2013. We're curious, though.
