GameStop COO believes Xbox One X demand will exceed supply, says sales are strong

No numbers have been released though.

The Xbox One X has defied analyst predictions of it not selling well at its price point. In its first week, the beefed-up Xbox console outpaced the PS4 Pro's initial sales and appears to be maintaining its trajectory.

During GameStop’s most recent financial earnings call, Chief Operating Officer Tony Bartel revealed that Xbox One X has been selling the moment it hits store shelves and that he believes that demand will exceed supply.

“Continuing its hardware, the recently launched Xbox One X is off to a very strong start," said Bartel “We sold out our entire market leading allocation in two days and we are seeing the product sale as soon as it hits the shelves.”

He went on to say that demand for Microsoft’s new console will exceed supply. “Again, we do believe that demand will outstrip supply on this console, and we will continue to be the best most informed place to purchase it.”

Microsoft has not shared any official numbers on the Xbox One X's sales.
