Frogster Reveals U.S. Release Date for Runes of Magic

Title Launching March 19th in the U.S., Already has 450,000 Players

Frogster America, Inc. today announced that Runes of Magic, the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that is redefining the standard for free-to-play titles, will officially launch on March 19th, 2009. Following a three month open beta test, that has seen the number of players grow to more than 450,000 players, the initial content for the game is in the final polish stages leading up to launch. Once launched, the development team will continue to update the game with new areas, quests and content to keep the world compelling and immersive.

“Since open beta began in December, the population of Taborea has soared and we have worked closely with the community to fine tune the Runes of Magic experience,” said Daniel Ullrich, director of product management at Frogster. “The launch is only the next milestone in delivering the full Runes of Magic experience as we are already planning and creating the next release of new content for the game.”
