Final Fantasy Publisher Expands to Android Devices
Square Enix, the firm behind Final Fantasy, has become the latest "traditional" publishing giant to expand to the mobile market.
Launching an Android division, Square Enix will develop games for Google's operating system, including Dragon Quest, Chaos Ring, and Crystal Defenders.
According to Andriasang, a remake of the original Final Fantasy is coming to Android as well.
Thanks to the open nature of the Android OS, Square Enix will be hosting its own digital store, called the Square Enix Market. Square Enix now joins EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, and Take-Two as the latest publishing giant to enter the mobile space.
