Final Fantasy: All the Bravest is out and boasts the largest parties in Final Fantasy history

Yesterday’s rumors were true. Released today for iOS devices is a touch based RPG adventure that goes by the name Final Fantasy: All The Bravest. Using character sprites similar to the original Final Fantasy up to Final Fantasy VI, FF:ATB combines tons of familiar characters all at once in the largest active time battles in Final Fantasy history. We’re talking rows upon rows of characters against familiar foes and bosses. Through winning battles you gain experience and levels for tougher challenges.

Above every one of your character’s heads is bar the fills up. Once filled, you simply touch the character and they attack. As more and more characters become ready, just tap or swipe away. This makes for fast paced combat and lots of lots of damages. Once every three hours a “Fever” option will appear which makes your characters fight automatically. During this time the classic chocobo music will play.

Similar to Final Fantasy V and Tactics, you will unlock different jobs; such as warrior, monk, red mage, etc.  As of now there are 20 jobs to play as. There will also be classical characters such as Kain and Cloud. As if that wasn’t enough nostalgia for you, the game contains over 30 songs from an array of Final Fantasy titles – mostly different battle themed songs.

If records are your thing, FF:ATB keeps tabs on every character you pick up, every foe you defeat, and every item you find. These records are shared globally in a leaderboard so you can see where you compare with the other people playing. An achievement system exists to push achievements and bragging rights. On top of all that, there are social media links to directly post your achievements to say Facebook or Twitter.

Final Fantasy: All The Bravest is out today for $3.99. The action is hectic and the nostalgia is on high. For you iOS users out there this game may just bring you back to your childhood.
