FAST Racing NEO DLC trailer shows off the new tracks

Let these guys work on the next F-Zero game

When Shin'en released FAST Racing NEO last December, we loved it. Despite being a digital indie game that was released exclusively on the storage-challenged, dying Wii U, it seems to have sold pretty well: It warranted DLC and an upcoming retail release (DLC included) on September 30.

Which is nice, because arcade racing games, particularly futuristic ones, are in short supply. Without classic series like F-Zero, Wipeout, or even Jet Moto to carry the torch, the racing genre has become dominated by racing sims. It feels like Mario Kart has become the last bastion of consistently good arcade racing.

That's not to say racing sims are bad. Some of us just don't really care about fine tuning a car for realistic performance gains, we want to look cool as hell, and solve the problem of approaching obstacles by activating the car's boost power and plowing through said obstacle at mach speed.

If futuristic arcade racers are something you think the world needs more of, check out this trailer for FAST Racing NEO's DLC:
