Famous Voice Acting in Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

An element, important to video games, which is often over looked, is the voice acting.  When we think of our anticipation of Skyrim; we think of the beauty, open world environment, and gameplay.  Part of the infinite detail that makes Skyrim this anticipated, epic beast, is the voice casting team behind the NPCs.  Among the famous voice actors are even Academy Award nominees.  Todd Howard, the Game Director says, “It’s been incredible to have all these actors together.  When you start a project, you always make your wish-list of actors, and to actually hear them in the game, it’s amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”  Let’s look closer at these actors:

Christopher Plummer: (“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, “The Insider”) a two-time Emmy Award winner / two time Tony Award winner / Academy Award nominee – plays Arngeir, a Graybeard elder.

Max Von Sydow: (“The Exorcist,” “Minority Report”) Academy Award nominee – plays Esbern, a chronicler and agent of the Blades.

Joan Allen: (“The Contender,” “The Bourne Ultimatum”) Tony Award winner, three time Academy Award nominee – plays Delphine, one of the last of the Blades.

Lynda Carter: (“Wonder Woman”) plays Gormlaith, Golden-Hilt, and a Nord hero

Michael Hogan: (“Battlestar Galactica”) plays Imperial General Tullius, in charge of crushing the Stormcloak rebellion.

Vladimir Kulich: (“The 13th Warrior,” “Smoking Aces”) plays Ulfric Stormcloak, leader of the Stormcloak

Claudia Christian: (“Babylon 5”) plays Legate Rikke, General Tullius’s chief lieutenant

Diane Louise Salinger: (“Carnivale”)

Renee Victor: (“Weeds”)
