Expect New Metal Gear Solid: Rising Details This Winter
We don't know much about Metal Gear Solid: Rising at the moment. All we know so far is that the game is scheduled to launch in 2012 and that we won't hear anything new about it at this year's E3. And while the latter is sure to put a damper on many gamers' E3 excitement, Konami has something special planned for this winter season.
In an interview with G4TV, Konami President Shinji Hirano shed some new light on the company's upcoming Metal Gear title. He touched on the development of the game, the technology being used, and even other titles such as Silent Hill. He also gave fans of the Metal Gear games a reason to be excited: this winter, Konami will reveal some major details about Rising.
According to Hirano, Konami has been keeping gamers out of the loop due to some major surprise. I really dig that the company has something big in store, and the direction that Konami is going in is certain to get gamers even more pumped. Additionally, now that we know we'll be hearing more about the game in a few months, expect a lot of high anticipation until then.
It's a shame that Konami won't reveal anything about Metal Gear Solid: Rising next week at E3. When you take into account their big reveal scheduled for this winter, though, it's completely understandable. And it generates even more fan interest. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming entry in the Metal Gear franchise straight from Konami.
