Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Will Not Have a Public Demo


In a recent interview with Gameplanet, Bethesda's Craig Lafferty squashed all rumors of a public demo coming before Skyrim's release this fall. Speculation of a public demo started after E3, though no actual teasers were provided.

Lafferty revealed this information, saying, "No, we won't be doing a demo. For a game of this size and complexity, it's really hard to do a demo the represents the game, y'know, truly, and it would have to be a gigantic demo, so ..."

If you were looking to get your hands on Skyrim before the game releases in November, you will have to wait. But with the way Skyrim was shown off during E3, the wait should be worth it in the end.
