EA Offering Sweet Extras for Battlefield 3 Pre-orders

Battlefield 3 is slated for release later this year, but EA wants to entice players to pre-order the game now by offering some nifty extras. Gamers who pre-order the game will receive Back to Karkand, a digital multiplayer expansion that comes packed with exclusive content and bonus items. Did I mention that the expansion pack will be at no extra cost to you as a pre-order incentive?

Based on Battlefield 2, Back to Karkand includes several weapons and vehicles from the game as well as new achievements and trophies. Additionally, you'll be treated to four maps from Battlefield 2 that will round out this multiplayer package. These areas will feature Frostbite 2 physics, graphics, and destructibility, which should make for some nice modernized explosions and effects. If you've got a soft spot in your FPS-loving heart for Battlefield 2, you'll want to pre-order Battlefield 3 Limited Edition at the EA Store right away.
