E3 2016: Skyrim is officially being remastered for PC, Xbox One and PS4

The Dovakiin is getting an HD makeover

Last week, amidst the plethora of pre-E3 leaks, regarded industry insider Shinobi602 hinted that we could expect an announcement on some sort of remaster that Bethesda has been working on. Rumors continued throughout the week with a confirmation and a pre-order leak both popping up over the next few days.
 
Well, Bethesda cleared the air at their E3 2016 Press Conference and officially revealed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Special Edition which will be coming on October 28, 2016.
 
Bethesda showed off a graphics comparison trailer and mod integration that will work almost identically to Fallout 4 and is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. PC players have had access to visual upgrade mods for sometime, so we'll see how well the Special Edition can stack up.
