Duke Nukem Forever 'Hail to the Icons Parody Pack" Coming Next Week

Gearbox is set to release the first DLC pack for the few fans who couldn't get enough of Duke Nukem: Forever.  Duke's multiplayer-expanding "Hail to the Icons Parody Pack" is set to launch next week on October 11.  Along with the launch will be "various optimizations and bug fixes" for hte PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Hail to the Icons Pack brings multiplayer gameplay to Duke Nukem: Forever, while poking fun at some of the more successful games.  The Icons Pack introduces four new maps, including "2Forts1Bridge", "Inferno", "Call of Duke", and the "Sandpit".

In addition to the multilplayer experience, Gearbox community manager Chris Faylor said the Xbox 360 and PS3 patches will bring "reduced load times," while the 360 is also getting "improved texture streaming."

Hail the Icons Parody Pack will be free to members of Duke Nukem's First Access Club.  For those who weren't suckered in to joining that, they can purchase the DLC for $10 (or 800 Microsoft Points).
