Drew Gooden – Spokesman for EA SPORTS NCAA March Madness 2003

TAKES IT TO THE HOOP WITH EA SPORTS IN NCAA MARCH MADNESS 2003

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – November
4, 2002 –
Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS),
announced today that the company has reached an agreement with former University
of Kansas star and current Memphis Grizzlie Drew Gooden, naming him spokesman
for EA SPORTS™ NCAA® March Madness™ 2003.  Gooden will appear on all
packaging, advertising and marketing materials for NCAA March Madness 2003
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Gooden.  “I play a lot of video games and to see myself on the cover of an EA
SPORTS game is a great feeling.  I can’t wait to sit down and play as the Kansas
Jayhawks.”

Gooden was a first round draft pick
(4th overall) in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. 
Earning All-American honors at the University of Kansas, Gooden was named Big 12
Conference Player of the Year for 2001 and was runner-up for the National Player
of the Year after leading the Jayhawks to the 2002 NCAA Final Four.  He is only
the second player in Kansas history to record at least 1,500 points, 900
rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 steals. 

NCAA March Madness 2003
captures the spirit and excitement that is unique to college basketball with
crazed fans in the stands, mascots on the court and fight songs being played in
the arenas.

features an all new Dynasty Mode™ where players can recruit top high school
players in the country, customize their non-conference schedule and play in the
EA SPORTS™ Roundball Classic high school All-American game.  Gamers can also
choose to play in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, the premiere early season
tournament for college basketball.

will be available on
the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system in late November.
