DreamWorks announces ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ and ‘Madagascar 4’ at Comic-Con

DreamWorks is just full of announcements at San Diego Comic-Con. At the DreamWorks Animation panel, they announced another Madagascar movie, Kung Fu Pand 3, and a new film titled Me and My Shadow.

Starting with the Madagascar 4 announcement, I was somewhat dissapointed to hear they were making another, but judging by the amount the movie has made, it's hard to blame them. I felt that the way Madagascar 3 ended was a perfect way to wrap up their journey. Luckily, I was relieved when Madagascar 3 director Tom McGrath said that it will be called The Penguins of Maadagascar. So yea, the funny penguins from the films that also have their own show on Nickelodeon are getting their own movie. 2015 is the release date.

While not a lot was spilled about Kung Fu Panda 3, Bill Damaschke — the Chief Creative Officer of DreamWorks — confirmed that a Kung Fu Panda 3 is happening. I think that's awesome, because Jack Black and the whole cast do excellent voice work, and the movies are just a general pleasure to watch.

DreamWorks new film, Me and My Shadow, is going to be a combination of CGI and tradional hand-drawn animation. In the film, a character's shadow takes on its own life, which will be hand-animated. The rest of the film will be in CGI.

Those are some great announcements from DreamWorks, and I'm really interested in learning more about Me and My Shadow. Damn, ya gotta love Comic-Con.
