Destiny players discover secret room in King’s Fall Raid

Did Guardians just discover a room designed for the hard-mode version of King's Fall?

Destiny: The Taken King is full of mysterious surprises that Guardians are starting to discover as they begin to really explore the nooks and crannies of the Dreadnaught. One such mystery was discovered over the weekend when a group of Guardians stumbled upon a series of pillars that, when activated in a specific sequence, unlocked a secret room in The Taken King's new raid, King's Fall.

At this point, the purpose of the room remains a mystery. All that's in it are Relics and a statue that, once six Relics are dunked into, grants an Overcharge buff to the entire group. However, once you leave the room you lose the buff, and you can't take the Relics outside either.

So what's the point of this room? Well, that's the mystery. Judging by the unconventional method required to actually reach this room, it's assumed that it's been prematurely discovered. Many believe it to be a room that exists for the hard-mode version of King's Fall, potentially as a location for a new boss.

If you want to check out this newly discovered room for yourself, the video below provides a nice step-by-step guide. It involves precision jumping, a pattern sequence, and some unconventional travel methods.
