Destineer
Announces Indianapolis 500: Evolution for Xbox 360

Racing Simulator Recreates the
Birth of Modern Racing in the 1960s

Experience the birth of modern
racing in an open-cockpit, hand-built speed machine racing at 180 mph just a few
inches off the ground. Destineer today announces Indianapolis 500: Evolution, a
racing simulation for the Xbox 360. Indianapolis 500: Evolution is set from
1961-1971 and will be available for sale on October 1, 2009.

Ride alongside legendary drivers
like A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti as they tempt fate in handcrafted cars that
push the edges of technology and safety. Indianapolis 500: Evolution challenges
players to navigate a moving minefield of crashes, spinning cars, rolling oil
slicks and 32 daring rivals as you race to the finish in any of 330 meticulously
recreated cars from the era.

Above all, Indianapolis 500:
Evolution is a racing simulation. Besides dozens of physics subtleties that
affect how the cars drive, the game recreates 75 unique races from the era.
Launch your career in a series of full races that progress through the decade,
or jump into key moments from many of the era’s most famous races.

Unlike most other oval-track racing
games, Indianapolis 500: Evolution includes oval tracks, like the world-famous
Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as well as road courses popular in the 60s. Eight
different courses and tracks are included. Also, as players race, they build
respect and rivalries with other drivers, affecting how these rivals drive, and,
just like in the real races, crashes and debris play a role during every race.
Up to 33 cars can race simultaneously.

Players can also race up to seven
other people via Xbox LIVE, with the AI controlling the other cars. Just like
the single-player races, the full field of 33 cars can race in multiplayer, and
crashes and debris are also a factor in the multiplayer races.

Indianapolis 500: Evolution is being
developed by Brain in a Jar and will be priced at $29.99.
