Dead Space Crowned Apple's iPad Game of the Year

Earlier today we brought news that all of EA's iOS offerings are on sale for just a buck, citing Dead Space as the obvious stand-out. Seems that Apple agrees, as the company has just released their picks for best apps of the year, with Dead Space clocking in as Apple's choice for best iPad game.

The game is available for both iPad and iPhone devices, though I can imagine the iPad's larger screen size lends itself well to the game's gorgeous graphics and responsive touch controls. We've already reccomended you purchase Dead Space today, but we think this ringing endorsement from Apple speaks louder than our own opinion.

Meanwhile, freemium title Tiny Tower won iPhone game of the year, with Tiny Wings and Touchgrind BMX clocking in as runners-up. The iPad runners-up were Contre Jour HD, and the much-beloved indie gem Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP.
