Darkness II Was Delayed, But 2K Still Wants Your Pre-Order

2K's incredibly dark and violent Darkness II might not be seeing the light of day this year, as the release date has been officially pushed back to February 7, 2012, but that shouldn't deter fans from pre-ordering the game now. Nabbing yourself a pre-order now will automatically upgrade you to the game's Limited Edition which happens to include some pretty cool in-game goodies.

The Darkness II Limited Edition includes:

  • Alternate darkling outfit: “Crazy Abdul”
  • Two character ability upgrades:
    • Gourmet Hearts: provides bonus for eating hearts
    • Relic Hunter: locates collectible items in the world
  • Custom illustration by Marc Silvestri
  • Free digital download of The Darkness Origins Volume 1 and Volume 2 comics

Not a bad deal if you ask me, especially for gamers who already knew they couldn't wait to continue the story of Jackie Estacado. A specific retailer wasn't mentioned, but you can just guess that the usual suspects of retail gaming stores *cough* GameStop *cough* will be the ones offering this deal.

Make sure to keep checking for continued coverage on the Darkness II
