Cthulhu Saves the World headed to mobile, Mac
Cthulhu Saves the World is a great game. When it launched on Xbox Live Indie Games in late 2010, it was overlooked and didn't meet with much success from a commercial standpoint. So what did developer Zeboyd Games do? Well, the team released the game on Steam after setting up a Kickstarter campaign.
While on Steam, Cthulhu Saves the World was received much more warmly and saw impressive sales. Now, Zeboyd is planning on expanding the comedy RPG to more audiences by releasing the game on new platforms.
In a blog post on Zeboyd's page, the developer stated that it would be teaming up with Tinkerhouse Games to port Cthulhu Saves the World to iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The game will also be released on Mac. This is all planned for early 2012, so if you're interested in playing Cthulhu Saves the World on any of these devices, watch out for it.
Oh, and to celebrate the recent one-year anniversary of the game, Zeboyd has dropped the price from $3 to $1 on XBLIG. Heck, $3 was already insanely awesome, but a buck is even better. If you have yet to play Cthulhu Saves the World, I would highly recommend it. Not only is it a great nod to classic JRPGs, but it's also funny as heck.
