Crystal Dynamics revealing new IP later this year

Crystal Dynamics is currently working its tail off and focusing on the Tomb Raider reboot. Judging from the game's reveal trailer, it looks like the company may be going in a much more cinematic direction. Personally, I was impressed, and I know I'm not the only one looking forward to the launch of the new Tomb Raider.

Apparently, though, Tomb Raider isn't the only game Crystal Dynamics has planned for 2012. In a blog post on the European Square Enix page, it was revealed that Crystal Dynamics will "also be hard at work preparing to reveal [an] exciting new intellectual property to the world."

2012 is the 20-year anniversary of Crystal Dynamics, so it would seem the company is trying to celebrate by introducing a brand new franchise. This is pretty exciting, and one can only wonder what Crystal Dynamics has planned for 2012.

I really have no clue as to what the company can have planned. Hell, Tomb Raider seemed awesome enough, but that doesn't seem to be enough for Crystal Dynamics. We'll be watching out for whatever it may be that the company has planned for the near or distant future. Seriously, though, the excitment is just too much! Let's hope it's something really awesome!
