Creative director of Assassin’s Creed Revelations leaves Ubisoft

While Assassin’s Creed Revelations was the end of this segment of the AC tale we were already looking for big changes in the next series of AC games.  With the creative director Alexandre Amancio stepping down from Ubisoft, I believe it is safe to say that there will be even greater changes now.

Amancio left Ubisoft to become the chief creative officer for Cossette.  This company is a marketing company based in Quebec City, Canada.  His career with Ubisoft prospered for a solid seven years.

In a quote from GameInformer, Amancio said:

Video games and advertising have many common elements. In both industries, we are always looking for new ways to engage the consumer to the brand. In addition, like advertising, the video game industry must now take into account and supply a very important social dimension in its development and strategies. The game is no longer just a game, it's a community, relations between players, and the brand.

Well said Amancio.  You’re roll in the Assassin Creed games will be missed; best of luck in your new marketing adventures.
