Crackdown 2 Developer Inks a Deal with ‘One of the Biggest Publishers in the Industry’

According to a job listing on Ruffian Games' website, the developer aims to hire a new environmental artist for the team's next project: a "AAA game for current generation consoles," to be published by "one of the biggest publishers in the industry." Shortly after the listing was publicized by several publications, the developer changed the description to read, "We are working on a number of as yet unannounced projects with some of the biggest publishers in the games industry."

While Ruffian Games is trying to fly under the radar with this deal, it's predicted that they have inked a deal with either EA, Activision, Ubisoft, or another other big name publisher.

While Crackdown 2 is the only title the studio has released to date (published by Microsoft), the team's members have been apart of several triple-A titles including: Crackdown, Crackdown 2, Fable 2, Grand Theft Auto and Mortal Kombat. Because of this, it's quite difficult to put a finger on just what this new project is. Either way, it'll be interesting to see just who they are working with and what they're working on in the coming months.
