Corpse Party headed to iPhone

Corpse Party is a good game. Well, at least that's what I've heard. I haven't actually played it. But I sure as hell would love to. I mean, it just looks really awesome, and from what I've seen on the internet, it looks like a great game with plenty of anime and horror elements to really keep me entertained the whole way through. If only I owned a PSP ...

Oh, and now I also wish I owned an iPhone, because Corpse Party is being ported to Apple's mobile devices. 5pb is working on porting the PSP version of the recently released horror adventure game to iOS platforms, reports Siliconera. While this doesn't benefit me in any way, it's great news for gamers who want to play the game and don't exactly own a PSP.

Corpse Party on iOS will feature all of the storytelling elements and gameplay of the PSP version, but it will include touch-based controls. The game was originally brought to North America by Xseed, so let's hope the company localizes the iOS version, as well.

It's interesting to see Japanese publishers porting RPG and adventure games to the iPhone. If they can pull it off successfully, iPhone owners are definitely in store for some kick-ass gaming experiences. Details on when and if Corpse Party will hit the North American iOS market are sure to surface. Stay tuned.
