Classic Ubisoft Sale Includes Far Cry and Prince of Persia

Good Old Games is hosting their usual weekend promo, but this one may be a bit more enticing to mainstream gamers. The sale includes six Ubisoft titles, including the all-time classic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and the game that put Crytek on the map, Far Cry. With the entire set under $30, it almost seems worth it to just grab them all.

You can view the full list of sale games at their website, The only bad one in there is Driver: Parallel Lines. I'm not sure who thinks that's a classic. My guess would be Ubisoft.

Beyond the sale, they've also added two new games to the GoG catalog this week. First up is Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, a game I'd never heard of until now, but for an older title it looks beautiful. GoG describes it as Commandos meets the wild west--which sounds pretty great.

An even bigger deal is the release of Star Control 1+2. Considered to be one of the best games of all time, Star Control might look a little rough by today's standards, but it's still something everyone should try.

This could be the weekend I finally try out the original Far Cry. How about you?
