THQ Nordic has pulled out a PC RPG from their past and has brought it to modern PCs. Silver, a real-time and fast-paced RPG that released back in 1999 as a response to the JRPG craze, is now available on Steam for the meager price of $5.99. The game is currently running a Steam launch sale until Friday, June 9th, in which you can grab the game at a 20% discount.
Silver tells the story of a corrupt sorcerer who abducts the women of the village as part of a pact with the god, Apocalypse. Players take on the role of a young knight, whose wife is among those captured, and sets out on a quest to recruit allies, gain strength through swordplay and magic, and find eight lost artifacts. Silver was developed with methods similar to that of Final Fantasy VII with pre-rendered 2D backgrounds, manga-style character design, and console-style gameplay.

Intuitive Swordplay: Silver's unique control method allows quick and intuitive handling of action, which is especially helpful in the heat of battle. In effect, the mouse becomes the player's "sword arm". Sweep the mouse to your left and your hero will slash to the left, sweep the mouse forward and your hero will lunge. Magical effects, throwing knives, arrow, and even catapults are also controlled through the mouse system.
