Chrono Trigger Out Now for iOS

Chrono Trigger has seen somewhat of a revival over the past several months. I mean, the game was always great, and it had been brought up in conversation by plenty of gamers throughout the years, but it seems that Chrono Trigger talk has been buzzing more than ever before. That's due to the fact that the game has relaunched on platforms ranging from the Wii Virtual Console to the PlayStation Network.

Now, Square Enix's timeless RPG is getting new life once more, this time on iOS platforms. The game was just released on the App Store for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices. This is certainly good news, especially if the mobile version of the game captures all of the magic of the original.

I'm not a fan of mobile gaming, but that's due mainly to the fact that I don't have fun with most games that release for mobile devices. That said, if more games like Chrono Trigger manage to provide meaningful experiences on these platforms, I may start to come around. Unless, of course, the controls are shoddy, in which case I'll be that d*ck who says, "I told ya so!"

Back to the topic at hand, Chrono Trigger for iOS is priced at $9.99. The game will include the Dimensional Vortex and Lost Sanctum areas from the DS version of the game. Will you be picking up this legendary RPG for your mobile device?
