Capcom's new bar offers up game themed eats
After a long exhausting day of writing about video games (how many people get to say that?), I often like to relax with a tall frosty pint of beer down at the neighborhood tavern. However, as cozy as the local bar may be, it's definitely no match for the awesomeness that is Capcom's Entertainment Bar, a game-themed watering hole in Shinjuku sponsored by the famous Japanese game developer.
In addition to the elements you might expect from a branded video game bar (game demo stations, framed pictures of Capcom characters), the coolest part of the experience would have to be the themed food and drink available for purchase. The Monster Hunter meat looks like it's fresh off the game's BBQ Grill, while Phoenix Wright's objection to traditional french fries manifests itself as a bizarre fried-potato pizza, and you can wash it all down with a delicious T-Virus vaccine.
Thing is, the Capcom bar is only around for a limited time, before the location rebrands itself as part of yet another sponsored-promotion (it's kind of what they do). So, if you happen to be in Japan and want to munch down on some Capcom treats, definitely swing by while you can. If you eat there enough, you can even earn some exclusive Capcom goods!
Unlocking items by ingesting calories? There's a game concept in there somewhere.
