Capcom has no plans to bring older titles to Wii U

The Wii U is no stranger to ports of games that were previously released on older systems. From Darksiders 2, Mass Effect 3 and even Batman: Arkham City, it was clear that Nintendo had no plans for staying behind in terms of all these blockbuster titles. So what about Capcom games?

Turns out, Capcom doesn't really have any plans to bring their older titles to the Wii U. Some users have asked whether Resident Evil 6 would be making its way to Nintendo's new HD console and Christian Svensson replied:

"With regard to Wii U, in general we're looking forward, not back, so late ports are generally not on the table."

While many would say that keeping RE6 off the Wii U is a good thing, there are those who were legitimately looking forward to playing it. It's important to note, however, that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which is scheduled to release this year on the Wii U, is a straight up port from Monster Hunter Tri which previously appeared on the Wii.
