Capcom has finally made an official, wearable Mega Man helmet

Amazing Mega Man helmet to be on display at SDCC 2015

I don't care that San Diego Comic-Con hasn't started yet, Capcom already won. The company announced today a slew of merchandise that'll be available at the convention this week, but the star of the show is a brand new, Capcom official, wearable Mega Man helmet.

"There have been many attempts at creating a wearable Mega Man helmet over the years, but it's never been made officially," Capcom said. According to the description, the helmet is made of "high quality ABS plastic with a high polish finish." It's said to have authentic proportions and details, as well as actual working LED lights.

"This is a high quality replica of the Blue Bomber's helmet – perfect for display in home or office, but it also doubles as the ultimate role play accessory!" Capcom boasted on its blog, adding that the helmet's unique clamshell hinge and soft padded interior allows for it to easily open up to comfortably fit your head.

Though the helmet will be on display at San Diego Comic-Con, it is not actually on sale yet. Instead, Capcom will be making an announcement on its store for a "limited time pre-order opportunity." There was no mention of price either, but I'm going to guess fans will pay whatever Capcom asks them to. The helmet comes shipped in a decorated box suitable for displaying the helmet when not in use.
