Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC coming to Xbox 360 this month
Hey all you Call of Duty Black Ops 2 players, it's time to get excited for yet another batch of maps. The Uprising DLC, which is the second official map pack for Black Ops 2, will feature four new maps as well as a whole new zombie scenario.
"Magma" is a modern Japanese village with volcanic eruptions carving multiple paths throughout the town. "Encore" takes place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival and leaves numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat. "Vertigo" is a futuristic high rise in India housing a high-tech lab featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways. Finally, "Studio" is a contemporary remake of "Firing Range," a fan-favorite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops. "Studio" is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.
As far as the zombie mode goes, it's going to be called Mob of the Dead and will feature four prohibition-era mobsters serving time in Alcatraz Prison. Of course, s**t hits the fan really quick and the four find themselves amidst the undead. Players will have to work their way through the cells and aging concrete buildings while fending off hordes of zombified guards and prisoners. A whole new feature coming with Mob of the Dead is Purgatory, which sends players into the afterlife. This new Purgatory element comes with its own set of objectives as well.
As is usual for Call of Duty DLC, expect it to hit first on Xbox 360. It'll run for 1200 MSP, but is included for anyone who already owns the Season Pass. Uprising DLC is scheduled to release on April 16th.
